PF Plum
Color: Bay Semi Leopard Appaloosa (E_/Aa/nLp/nP1)
Breed: Knabstrupper
Born: January 2, 2014
Pedigree: Cheyenne x Spotty
Open years: 2017-present
Plum's sire, Cheyenne, has a good pedigree. Cheyenne's sire, Apollon, won Dressage and Showjumping to M level, and also M Eventing. He was awarded the Gold Medal as best Knabstrupper stallion at the 1990 Danish Agriculture Fair and won Premium graded status at the ZfDP grading in Lentföhrden. He became the foundation sire for North American Knabsrtuppers. His sire Zorro is of the Sporthorse type a descendant of the Arabian stallion Pomeranets, who sired Hockey II, who was the sire of the Almox Prints J. Apollon's dam Symfoni is sired by Donauschimmer, who has the lines of lines as Abglanz and Poet XX. There are also the lines of Gunnar and r Sonett, who was the dam of Hessenstein and through him influenced a generation of horses. Apollon (now deceased) is the only leopard spotted stallion with the ZfDP approval world wide. Cheyenne's dam, Cedar of Independence is fairly pure Knabstrupper; one needs to go quite far back to find other breeds such as Thoroughbred, Trakehner, Danish Warmblood and Oldenburg. It is hard to find such pure Knabstruppers these days, though of course, they are still "pure" Knabstruppers if they, for example, of a Trakehner dam, as Apollo does. I don't know much about Cedar of Independence's pedigree, to tell the truth.
