How to enter: click here
Entrees must be in be in before the end of October. Please do NOT delete the other contestants photos, I might even know if some are missing!
When you upload a photo, move your mouse onto it, There will be an "add a caption" option, fill this out in your caption:
CLASS: (The class you have entered)
HORSE'S NAME: (Your horse or pony's name)
HORSE'S AGE: (Your horse or pony's age at start of the event, if it doesn't have one put "grown up" or "child")
YOUR STABLES' NAME: (Your stables name if you have one)
If you are entering a class other than "Prettiest Mare", "Prettiest under 4" or "Handsomest Stallion" add:
BREED: ( Your horse or ponies breed if known)
AWARDS: ( Any race, if you have entered a race, show, if you have entered "Show jumping" or "Horse Trails", Dressage if you have entered "Dressage" or "Horses trails" awards, I hope you got that, basically put award records of anything your horse or pony has won that wasn't because of it's looks)
OK, that's it, now "How does judging work?"
In "Prettiest Mare", "Handsomest Stallion" and "Prettiest Under 4" the winner is the photo that the two judges liked the most.
In the other competitions, if any thing is required in the photos and it's there the horse or pony does better, there are other ways that it does better, but I'd rather not say as it is possible to cheat, if I find that anyone has definitely cheated they will be out of the competition, You will also be eliminated if the photo is not horse-related.
At the end of the photo show a Horse of the Year will be decided. In each class a horse gets a certain number of points if it gets a place:
First Place = 3 points
Second Place = 2 points
Third Place = 1 point.
At the end each horses points are added up and the one with the most points wins Horse of the Year, second wins Horse of the Month (October) and 3rd wins Horse of the Week. There are special prizes to be won.
When you click on the "here" at the top of the page, you will be on the site to upload (or do I mean download?) your photos, It will say "To upload photos for the show click here", just follow the instructions. Then select the (page of the) competition that you want to enter, then drag a "Picture" from the top bar onto the page, click "upload image" it should look something like this:
